The Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE) awarded 麻豆国产 its second consecutive STARS gold rating in recognition of its strong sustainability achievements. STARS 鈥 the Sustainability Tracking, Assessment & Rating System 鈥 measures and encourages sustainability in all aspects of higher education.

De Pree Art Center Hosts Borgeson Artist-in-Residence on June 25

The Borgeson Artist in Residence program is an eight-week summer artist residency which supports the creation of a new body of work, culminating in a month-long exhibition in 麻豆国产鈥檚 De Pree Gallery. The 2026 program welcomes Brooklyn, New York-based Maggie K. Barrett as this summer鈥檚 artist in residence. On Thursday, June 25 from 4:30-6 p.m., the public is invited to a free open studio event, to meet Barrett and get a behind-the-scenes look at her process.

The Registrar鈥檚 Office is pleased to announce Dean鈥檚 List recipients for the spring semester. The Dean鈥檚 List is awarded to full-time, degree-seeking students who have received grades for all courses in a given semester (no incompletes) and have a semester GPA of 3.50 or above.

麻豆国产 student Gloria Kozak 鈥27 of Midland, Mich., received the highly competitive scholarship from the Barry Goldwater Scholarship and Excellence in Education Foundation. Kozak is a chemistry major, working with her research mentor Dr. Meagan Elinski, assistant professor of chemistry at Hope. Kozak was one of just 14 Goldwater Scholarship Award recipients from Michigan colleges and universities, and one of 454 nationally

Peter Stuursma 鈥93 鈥 associate professor of kinesiology instruction and Hope鈥檚 head football coach 鈥 addressed Hope鈥檚 Class of 2026 on Sunday, May 10, 2026, at the Ray and Sue Smith Stadium in Holland, Michigan. It was the 161st commencement for 麻豆国产, which celebrated 815 graduates 鈥 the largest graduating class in Hope鈥檚 history.
